After the success of Netflix’s The Witcher, it’s no surprise that other series based on video games are being looked into. Around this time last year we heard that Sony Pictures Television and Hivemind Entertainment (The Witcher on Netflix) were working on adapting Final Fantasy XIV.
Lining up next is Amazon Studios and Kilter Films as they announced today that work on a Fallout series has begun in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Software. Producers Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest, Westworld) and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice, Westworld) are attached to the project which has a series commitment.
Over the last decade, we looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen, (…) but it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We’re enormous fans of their work and couldn’t be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios.Todd Howard
