Gamer Escape is looking for writers and podcasters! We have immediate openings for the positions described below. All positions require excellent writing skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Compensation is available on a per article/podcast/project basis.

  • All applicants should should be easily reachable during the week via our Discord server.
  • Basic image editing skills required for all writing positions. Video skills a plus.
  • All applicants are required to submit a writing sample (or links to previous work) related to the position they are applying for.
  • Depending on the volume of applicants, we may not be able to respond to every application submitted.

General Gaming News & Features Writer:

We’re looking for someone that loves video games and loves writing about them. You should be up to date on the latest big developments in the gaming industry such as game announcements, new trailer releases etc. The ideal candidate must be able to independently generate ideas and then cover them promptly while relevant.

Final Fantasy MMO News & Features Writer:

We’re looking for someone that is interested in Final Fantasy XI and/or Final Fantasy XIV. The ideal news candidate must stay on top of all new developments relating to both titles and post them in a timely manner. The ideal features writer will independently generate potential article ideas that would be of interest to the Final Fantasy XI and/or Final Fantasy XIV communities.
Willingness to appear as a co-host on Aetheryte Radio is a plus.

Front-end developer:

We’re looking for someone that wants to improve the Gamer Escape user experience from the inside. Our last redesign was more than 2 years ago and a lot has changed since that time, so if you are an experienced front-end developer who is knowledgeable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress and MediaWiki, and are looking to help us improve our skin and functionality, please reach out and apply! Interest in video games and Final Fantasy XIV is a plus but is not strictly required. Project-based compensation is available based on project and experience.
