Letter from the Producer Live Part LXXXV Summary
Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida took to the internets to broadcast the latest Letter from the Producer which gave us our first look at what we can expect with the next major path for Square Enix’s flagship MMO.
Patch 7.2, Seekers of Eternity will arrive for Final Fantasy XIV sometime in late March.
Patch 7.2 is set to include:
- New Main Scenario Quests
- New Dungeon – The Underkeep
- New Trial – Recollection (Normal/Extreme)
- New Allied Society Quests – Mamool Ja
- Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures
- New Cornservant Side Quest
- New Allagan Tomestones
- Allagan tomestones of mathematics will be added
- Duty Support
- The Sunken Temple of Qarn
- PvP Update
- PvP Series 8 begins
- PvP action adjustments
- Several new PvP actions added
- Frontline (Secure) returns with various improvements
- New Raid – The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier (Normal/Savage)
- New Unreal Trial – Hells’ Kier (Unreal)
- Cosmic Exploration
- Collaborate with players from your World as you explore the cosmos in this new activity designed for crafters and gatherers!
- Discover a new star ripe for exploration in each m ajor patch of the 7.x patch series!
- Nuture the development of planets by completing missions and events as a community!

- New Field Operations – Occult Crescent
- In the treacherous waters of Shades’ Triangle lies the Occult Crescent, an isle shrouded in mystery. Should you wish to unveil its secrets, you must explore the unmapped terrain, and battle against the isle’s inhabitants.
- Exploration fraught with danger!
- Engage in successive battles with a small party of allies.
- Join forces with your fellow adventuerers in large-scale boss battles!
- Challenge a raid with a group of up to 48 players!
- About leveling
- To enter, players must have a Disciple of War or Magic at level 100.
- While exploring the Occult Crescent, players will be able to raise their Knowledge Level, greatly influencing the outcome of battles against the creatures of the isle.
- Phantom Jobs
- On the isle, players will have access to unique jobs known as “phantom jobs.”
- When equipped, they will grant players new actions that can be used with their main job.
- Phantom Jobs currently revealed are as follows, with more on the way:
- Monk
- Warrior
- Geomancer
- Ranger
- Berserker
- Time Mage
- Chemist
- Cannoneer
- Weapon Enhancement
- In the 7.x patch series, two methods will be available for weapon enhancement:
- Exploring the Occult Crescent
- Engaging with existing activities

The Primals’ concert at the Yokohama Arena (September 21-22) is now available on Blu-ray! Purchase the special box version for additional merchandise.
