During the broadcast of Letter From the Producer LIVE Part LXXXIV, it was revealed that Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Patch 7.1 Crossroads will arrive on Tuesday, November 12.

Of course, that’s just the initial release of the patch. There are subsequent updates already planned for the 7.1x series which will add things such as the next Ultimate Raid, as well as the game’s first Chaotic Raid… both of which have release dates which are sure to make many of the United States players in North America groan together in disappointment as they land right in time for major travel holidays.

Let’s take a look at the whole Patch 7.1 schedule and go into some details about a few of the things that will be coming in the next couple of months!

When two members with the same job are present in the party, the limit gauge will no longer passively fill up over time.

PvP Update

PVP Action Execution and Hit Detection Update

• Until now, hit detection was triggered at the time of action execution
• Timing of hit detection will better match visual effects
• *Actions which feel more responsive with immediate hit detection will be addressed on an individual basis

Major Additions and Adjustments to PvP Actions

• Addition and removal of PvP actions for each job
• Significant balance adjustments
• Certain limit breaks will receive adjustments to gauge charge time and more

Adjustments to Frontline and Rival Wings

• Damage dealt
• Damage taken
• Limit gauge charge time
• Machina functionality

Crystalline Conflict Ranked Match Changes

• Starting with Season 12 in Patch 7.1, rankings will be determined per region rather than per data center
  • Season 12 Data Centers:
    • Japan: Gaia
    • Europe: Chaos
    • North America: Primal
    • Oceania: Materia
• Players may register for matches from the designated data center
• Only the best performing character on a service account will be listed in the rankings
• Japan/North America/Europe
  In accordance with rankings being consolidated to one data center per region, the number of placements for rewards will be adjusted.
  • Instead of 100 there will be 300
  • These changes will not apply to Oceania as the rankings are already held on one data center

Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic)

• Unlocked by completing the main scenario quest “Dawntrail”
• Register for duty via the Raid Finder or Party Finder

Party Composition
Tank x2, DPS x4, Healer x2, 3 parties

• Preformed alliances may undertake the duty with 12 to 24 members
• Difficulty and rewards will remain the same
• Difficulty is balanced around 24-member alliances

Rewards:

• Item level 730 gear
• Mounts, minions and hairstyles
• Tokens which can be exchanged for rewards
• No weekly limit on rewards

Bonus Reward System

• First time duty bonus: Additional tokens will be awarded in proportion to the number of alliance members new to the duty.
• Limited Time Bonus: A randomly occurring reward bonus that persists for several hours. Enter the duty during this period of improved drop rates and additional tokens.

Other Updates

Group Pose Updates

• Added support for fisher’s fishing animations
• Adjusted camera controls to remain screen-oriented rather than rotate based on roll angle

Outfit Glamours

• Store specific combinations of gear in the glamor dresser as a single slot
• Can be projected onto gear or added to glamour plates
• Will primarily support lv. 1 glamor gear at this time
• Must possess entire ensemble of specified gear to store them as an outfit glamour

Copy Settings to Another Character

• A character’s HUD layout, macros, config settings, and more can be copied to another character
• Applicable to characters belonging to the same Square Enix account and on the same device

Duty List Update

• Can now display up to 10 quests at a time

Tilt Configuration

• Added feature to show character tilting while turning
• Can be enabled or disabled as desired

Graphical Update Adjustments

• Starting with Patch 7.1 character-related feedback will be addressed
  • An additional phial of Fantasia will be distributed (only redeemable during 7.1x from a certain NPC)
