9 Years of Shadow Brings Colorful Metroidvania to PC this March

Developer Halberd Studios have announced the release date for their upcoming metroidvania, 9 Years of Shadow. This is the studio’s first own project and will be published by Freedom Games, who also oversaw the release of Dark Deity, Symphony of War, and City of Beats.
Main protagonist Europa is tasked with bringing light, colors, and hope back to the world and is aided by two well-known guest composers: Michiru Yamane (Castlevania series) and Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear Solid series). Not only did they work on the soundtrack of the game, both can be found as NPCs to literally aid Europa on her quest.
Additionally, players will interact with Gaia, Poseidon, and Helios, who will equip the heroine with beautiful armor and weapons. True to the genre, you will need to unlock new features and skills to reach new areas on the map, and successfully face new challenges. 9 Years of Shadow will release on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 27. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned for a Q3 release this year.
