Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Wins GOTY at 2022 SXSW Gaming Awards

As of this past Saturday, March 12th, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is even more award-winning than it previously has been. It won in all three of it’s nominated categories at the 2022 SXSW Gaming Awards.

Most importantly it won the Game of the Year Award, beating out the four other nominees Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Resident Evil Village, Psychonauts 2, and It Takes Two.

The other two categories Endwalker won are “Excellence in Narrative”, which is awarded for “the game with the best storyline and dialogue”, as well as “Excellence in Original Score”, awarded to the “game that best exemplifies artistic excellence in its original musical score and how it progresses the narrative of the game.”
