Yooreka Studio Announces Eight New Games
Chinese-based Yooreka Studio, who co-developed Streets of Rage 4 with Dotemu and published the game in mainland China, has revealed eight new games launching over the course of the next year as part of their E3 2021 presentation. Here’s a look at everything shown.
Loopmancer
Set in a cyberpunk-inspired world, Loopmancer is a 3D metroidvania that combines intricate and explosive combat with exploration and puzzle-solving elements as you search for a missing journalist. Loopmancer will release on PC via Steam in Q4 2021.
Extremely Realistic Siege Warfare Simulator (ERSWS)
Extremely Long Name aside, ERSWS is a physics-based tactical RPG with a minimalistic art style that has you constructing weapons and raising armies to infiltrate enemy bases and take down an evil tyrant. I dig how the whacky physics combine with a serious narrative arc, so I’m looking forward to playing when it launches Q1 2022 on Steam. A demo is available as well.
Metal Mind
I am so here for Metal Mind! It’s a pixel-based top-down shooter that reminds me of some of my favorite bullet hell games, and it releases on Steam in Q1 of 2022. A demo is available to download as a part of Steam’s Next Fest.
The Swordsmen X: Survival
The Swordsmen X: Survival combines sword-based combat with classic survival elements such as construction and crafting, building up your village as you strive to become a martial arts master. It will launch in Q4 of this year on PC via Steam.
Tales of Wild
Tales of Wild is an online open-world sandbox survival game in which players must work together to “take what’s theirs.” Not sure what that means, but I’m certain we’ll learn more once the game releases Q1 2022 on Steam.
The Immortal Mayor
The first thing that struck me about The Immortal Mayor is its graphics, featuring a bright and beautiful watercolor-esque art style seen in games like Okami. A simulation game in which you’re the deity of a village that can use magic to help residents, the game will be launching in Q3 2021, with a demo available on Steam.
Reshaping Mars
Eat your heart out, Elon Musk! Reshaping Mars is a space colonization simulator that puts you in the tactician’s chair, building up an ecosystem on the planet by constructing structures and organizing populations on a Civilization-like game board. The game launches in Q3 of this year, and a demo is available to download on Steam.
Mohism
Set in a world of martial arts heroes, Mohism is a narrative adventure game in which you investigate crimes, interrogate suspects, and uncover mysteries. It looks great and has a lot of features that are reminiscent of other games in the adventure genre, so I’m looking forward to checking it out when it launches Q1 2022 on Steam.
