Today, Capcom held another Resident Evil Showcase broadcast which gave us another look at the upcoming Resident Evil Village in addition to other future projects.

The next demo for the game, 8 Hours in Village, will be a limited, timed demo, giving players a total of 60 minutes to spend exploring locales from the game. Two levels will be available in the demo, the village, and the castle. The demo will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, and Stadia and is available to pre-load starting today.

In an effort to make things feel needlessly complicated, portions of the demo are only available to play during certain times starting April 17. You can see the full schedule for the demo here.

Also announced was the inclusion of the fan favorite Mercenaries mode coming to Resident Evil Village. This time around, players will be able to upgrade their weapons and enhance their abilities.

Additionally, it was announced that Resident Evil 4 will be coming to VR via the Oculus Quest 2 later this year. Those looking to find out more information can check out the Oculus Gaming Showcase at 3 PM PT on April 21 via Oculus’s Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube channels.

Last, but certainly not least were the inclusions that there will be a Resident Evil collaboration in Dead by Daylight, and a the reveal of new trailer for the Netflix series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness which will be available in July.

Resident Evil Village releases next month on May 7 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
