Everything Announced at New Game Plus Expo 2.0

After a successful showing in June, New Game Plus Expo returned to showcase new and upcoming games from a variety of developers.

Here’s everything that was shown at the event.


The Silver Case 2425

A bundle featuring both The Silver Case and The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, the cult classic debut title and its sequel from Grasshopper Manufacture are finally making their way to the Nintendo Switch on July 6.

Mary Skelter Finale

Concluding the Mary Skelter trilogy, the last game in the dungeon-crawling series will be released by Idea Factory on PlayStation 4 and Switch this Fall.

RICO: London

From the developer of Fights in Tight Spaces and SkyScrappers, RICO: London is a sequel to cel-shaded buddy-cop shooter RICO released in 2019. Published by Aksys Games and developed by Ground Shatter, RICO: London will come out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Switch this Summer.

Expohobia

Inspired by retro first-person shooters, Exophobia is a DOOM-esque game that will have you fighting your way through an alien-infested spaceship. It’s always refreshing to see new and unique takes on the first-person shooter, and I’ll be sure to check out Exophobia when it launches on October 5 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.

Guilty Gear: Strive

The newest fighting game from Arc System Works made an appearance at NGPX to show off two new characters: Anji and I-No. The game will be released on June 11 for PS4, PS5, and PC.

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined

A remake of a retro classic, this scrolling shooter from TAITO will be released on PS4 and Switch this Fall by Natsume.

Alchemic Cutie

Appearing heavily inspired by Stardew Valley, this adorable RPG will launch first on the Xbox Series consoles on July 27 with a PC release coming later this year.

Gnosia

The Playism-published social deduction game Gnosia made an appearance at NGPX to commemorate its release, launching today on the Nintendo Switch.

Neptunia ReVerse

Because we needed yet another remake of the first Hyperdimension Neptunia game, Neptunia ReVerse is launching on June 8 for the PlayStation 5.

World’s End Club

From creators Kotaro Uchikoshi and Kazutaka Kodaka, World’s End Club will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on May 28 following its original release on Apple Arcade. The Switch version will include the game’s true ending.

Ever Forward

A puzzle game in which you must guide a young girl through different realities in order to uncover memories from her past, Ever Forward originally launched on PC in August 2020 and will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Switch on June 29.

Pups & Purrs Animal Hospital

Probably taking the prize for Cutest Game of 2021, Pups & Purrs Animal Hospital will have you giving animals the care they need in your very own veterinarian clinic. The game will release this Summer for the Nintendo Switch.

ConnecTank

An Overcooked-esque game in which you load up your tank with ammo to mow down your enemies and make your capitalist boss richer, the newest title from Fallen Legions developer YummyYummyTummy (what a name!) will launch this Summer on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC.

The Sealed Ampoule

After a showing at the Playism Game Show last September, the “dungeon agricultuarization rogue-like” title made an appearance to commemorate its launch on PC today.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny

Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa made an appearance decked-out in Prinny gear to announce the release date of the latest entry in the long-running strategy RPG series. Disgaea 6 will launch on June 29 for the Nintendo Switch; while a PlayStation 4 version was released in Japan, it hasn’t been announced for the West.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 3

Making an appearance after god-knows-how-long following Mighty No. 9, Executive Supervisor Keiji Inafune from Level-5 Comcept joined NGPX to announce that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Series Director Hiroki Miyazawa has joined the Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 team as an Action Director. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will launch in 2022 for the Switch.

Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi

After being in development for what seems like ages, the Experience-developed dungeon crawler Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi (known as Yomi wo Saku Hana in Japan) is finally getting a Western release this fall for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Death end re;Quest

A version of the popular Compile Heart game set in an MMORPG will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on April 27, 2021. The game is already available on PS4 and PC.

Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani

Also known as Dairoku: Ayakashimori, the latest otome game published by Aksys will release this Fall on the Nintendo Switch.

Guts ‘N Goals

An arcade-style game fusing soccer with beat-’em-up action as you literally fight your opponents, the latest game from CodeManu will launch on August 31, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.

Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1

A collection of classic strategy RPGs Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered and Soul Nomad & the World Eaters, both games will be making their way to the Switch this summer. Additionally, Soul Nomad & the World Eaters will be getting a standalone release on PC as well, as Phantom Brave already came out on Steam back in July of 2016.

Blaster Master Zero 3

Closing out the show, Inti Creates announced Blaster Master Zero III, a sequel to Blaster Master Zero 2. The side-scrolling tank shooter will release on July 29, 2021 for PS4, Switch, and PC.
