Today, dates were announced for upcoming PAX East, PAX West, and PAX Unplugged events for next year.
PAX East will take place once again in Boston June 3-6. PAX West will come to Seattle from September 3-6. And lastly, PAX Unplugged will be hosted in Philidelphia from December 10-12. Each event will have publishers, developers, content creators and panels in addition to hands-on demos. Badges will go on sale at a later date.
PAX South will not happen in 2021, and PAX Australia information is set to be released in the coming weeks.
All of this, of course, is heavily dependent on the improvement of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s PAX East, which was held from February 27 through March 1, came right up against the beginning of the pandemic, with some groups cancelling their plans. Since then however, the numbers of those testing positive for COVID in the United States has continued to climb. With vaccine trials currently underway, there certainly is a possibility that a summer convention might just be plausible.
This coming June could be very busy for gamers as gamesindustry.biz previously announced that the ESA told its partners that E3 2021 is currently scheduled for June 15 through 17 of next year. This now puts PAX East and E3 a mere week apart.
