While development on the sequel to Breath of the Wild pushes on, Nintendo announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity developed by Koei Tecmo.
Taking place 100 years before Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity will tell the events of the Great Calamity and provide more backstory on the events and characters from BOTW.
Fighting against hordes of enemies in classic Dynasty Warriors style, heroes with unique abilities and combat styles such as Link and Zelda are playable as they try to save Hyrule from Calamity Ganon. The game will also support local co-op.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will launch on November 20th for the Switch. Digital pre-orders will include the bonus weapon Lucky Ladle, to obviously make some Bokoblin Soup.
