WayForward-Developed Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia Announced, Exclusive to Nintendo Switch

Alongside Paper Mario: The Origami King gameplay, the “surprise game” teased for Nintendo Treehouse: Live today was revealed to be based on the popular toy franchise.

Developed by Wayforward—most known for River City Girls and the Shantae series—Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia is a realtime action-RPG comparable to Ni no Kuni or the Digimon World games. While your Bakugan engages in a Brawl, you support them from the sidelines by collecting Energy Cores that power up special attacks to unleash upon your opponent.

One of WayForward’s few 3D titles, Champions of Vestroia will feature an explorable open world with quests and character interaction. The game will also feature online multiplayer to partake in Bakugan Brawls with other players.

Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia will release on November 3rd, 2020 as a Switch exclusive.
