Hitman III Announced for Current and Next-Gen Consoles, PC

IO Interactive announced the final game in the “World of Assassination” trilogy today during Sony’s PlayStation 5 event.

Hitman III takes a darker tone compared to the previous two games, with Agent 47 reuniting with Lucas Grey while they hunt down members of the secret Providence group.

This release follows in the steps of the other games in the trilogy, with letting players go after their targets in their own ways in a large, open-level environment. Following in the previous entry’s footsteps, Hitman III will not be an episodic release; the entire campaign will be available to play at launch.

The developers also say that locations from Hitman and Hitman 2 are able to be imported into III, and that unlocks and progression will carry over as well.

IO Interactive will be self-publishing and developing Hitman III, and more information will be available “in the coming months.”

Hitman III will launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in January 2021.
