Announced last year at Bethesda’s E3 presentation, both games (developed by Arkane Studios and Tango Gameworks respectively) were announced to be PlayStation 5 timed exclusives during PlayStation’s Future of Gaming digital event earlier today.
Deathloop is about two assassins stuck on an island called Blackreef fighting to kill eight specific targets in order to break free from their cycle of struggle. Using Dishonored-like abilities to take down enemies, Bethesda states that “if at first you don’t succeed… die, die again.”
Ghostwire: Tokyo tells the story of a paranormal event happening in Japan where 99% of the population disappears. You will use supernatural ninja-like abilities to defeat otherworldly entities and save Tokyo.
Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo will be launching first on PlayStation 5 in addition to PC, releasing Holiday 2020 and 2021 respectively.
