Developed by Artefacts Studio and published by Dear Villagers, The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos is a tactical (i.e. turn-based) RPG based on existing, and widely popular, French IP.

Your party consists of 7 characters: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Magician, the Ogre and the Thief, and while based on stereotypical archetypes “they are clumsy, inexperienced and feisty…” Thus begins a rather comical RPG, but certainly not one that short on content. The “relatively linear” MSQ alone is estimated to take 45 hours to complete, and additional content is available in the form of side quests related to the members of your party.

Combat is fairly typical of the tactical-RPG genre.  You have an allotted amount of movement to move each party member around the battlefield, and then a certain number of attacks that you can unleash on your enemies. The comedic aspect is immediately apparent in combat as well. Land certain attacks on the explosive barrels and watch the enemies in the area take damage, land next to the beer barrels and watch the beer… well leak.

Content appears robust. Each party member has their own set of skills and their own skill tree, so there is some the ability to customize and/or level your characters independently. There are more than 100 enemies, so each battle will be a test of tactics and skill, and there are 7 different bosses with entirely unique mechanics as well.

The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos will be available in French, English and German and is launching in summer 2020 on PC Steam.
