FFXIV Shadowbringers Guide: Eden's Gate: Sepulture

Eden’s Gate: Sepulture is the fourth, and last, encounter of the first 8-man, normal raid content released with Patch 5.01 of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers. It’s available at level 80 by finishing the Main Scenario Quest Shadowbringers and unlocked by the quest Super Seismic. It can be completed via the duty finder with a minimum ilvl of 425 and rewards tokens of Early Antiquity for each gear type, which can be turned in to Yahl Yal at (10.1-11.5) in The Canopy, Eulmore. Ghul Gul at (26.6-16.4) in Mord Souq, Ahm Araeng will also exchange tokens of Early Antiquity for gear.
For the sake of your fellow players, please remember that this is new content (at the time of this publication). A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Similarly, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something you didn’t know.
Titan
Make note of the grid of tiles that make up this arena floor. Also make note of the lack of walls. You can fall off. This is Titan, after all. Anything and everything will attempt to knock you off the arena, especially abilities with “landslide” in the name. Use your knock-back prevention abilities liberally.
Phase 1
- Voice of the Land – Arena-wide, unavoidable AoE.
- Evil Earth – An 8-pointed star shape will appear on one square tile of the floor. An AoE will radiate out from that tile by rows, and each row will explode in turn. Move from the glowing, yet-to-explode rows, into the clear, already exploded rows to avoid damage.
- Weight of the Land – Eight tiles will light up and explode after the cast ends.
- Stonecrusher – A tank buster; cleaves.
- Crumbling down – Calls down 2 Massive Boulders that do proximity damage upon landing. One will begin to glow and eventually break.
- Seismic Wave – Use the non-glowing Boulder to line-of-sight this attack.
- Geocrush – Titan will jump to a random tile on the edge and cause a knock-back with mild damage upon landing.
- Two of Titans “wheels” move to his fists.
- Massive Landslide – Titan slams into the ground, causing landslides on either side of the row of tiles he’s currently standing on. First stand on that sandwiched row, then move out to the sides when the initial landslides have passed and the center row glows blue.
- He puts his wheels away.
Phase 2
- Stonecrusher
- Bomb Boulders (1) – Four bombs will fall on the 4 corner line intersections between the tiles. Getting hit my their explosions applies a vuln’ stack.
- Cobalt Bomb – Titan will super-charge one of the bombs, increasing it’s AoE range when it explodes. Choose one of the 2 sides away from the Cobalt Bomb and stand at its center to avoid the AoE from the smaller bombs exploding.
- Voice of the Land
- Geocrush
- Titan transforms again, this time his “wheels” become, well… wheels. He’s half-Titan, half-Tonka truck now.
- Fault Zone – Get out of the lane of tiles in front Titan because he’s going for a drive, but stay close because his charge will knock you back. Also make sure you’re on the side with two rows of tiles so that you have someplace to get knocked back to. The row of tiles on either side of his journey will glow blue after he passes, so get off of them onto either of the clear lanes available. The side with an extra row of tiles will have an extra row explosion.
- He puts his wheels away.
- Earthen Fury – An arena-wide, unavoidable AoE that applies the Filthy debuff, which is a bleed.
Phase 3
- Stonecrusher
- Bomb Boulders (2) – Titan will drop bombs along a center line, to one side of that line, and then the other. Just like original Titan, move to the last bombs to drop, and then to the center line of bombs when they explode.
- Cobalt Bomb – Avoid this enlarged bomb while doing the Bomb Boulders (2) dance.
- Weight of the Land – Will happen immediately after the second row of bombs explodes and may keep you from moving to the center line of safety if you hesitate at all.
- Voice of the Land
- Crumbing Down
- Evil Earth – Avoid the radiating squares of AoE, while keeping in mind that you’ll need to move to the remaining Massive Boulder soon.
- Seismic Wave
Phase 4 (Phases 4 & 6 are Interchangeable)
- Stonecrusher
- Geocrush
- His wheels move to his hands.
- Massive Landslide
- Landslide – Two linear AoEs will make a T shape across the arena. Titan will jump to the intersection of the T and the double rows of tiles will explode. From there, the untouched rows will begin to glow blue from the aftershocks and explode shortly after.
- Leftward/Rightward Landslide – Titan will turn inward, toward the center of the arena, and the half of the floor on the side his ability calls for will light up as a landslide indicator. After he strikes the first half, the aftershocks will radiate across the arena toward the opposite, row by row, as indicated by the blue tiles.
- Landslide – Another T shape will show up and explode in the same fashion with titan jumps to its intersection.
- Leftward/Rightward Landslide
- He puts his wheels away.
Phase 5
- Stonecrusher
- Bomb Boulders (3) – First 5 bombs drop in an X across the arena, then 4 more drop to fill in the gaps, aka “pocket bombs.” Stand with one of the bombs from the second group and move to space left by the first group after it explodes. This is no Cobalt Bomb here.
- Evil Earth – This will appear before the second group of bomb from Bomb Boulders (3) has exploded, so dodge carefully.
- Voice of the Land
- Evil Earth
- Weight of the Land
Phase 6 (Phases 6 & 4 are Interchangeable)
- Stonecrusher
- Geocrush
- Fault Zone (x3) – After his first dash across the field, Titan will drive one row over, turn and dash back across. He then repeats the process, going back across his original route. Be sure to not only get out of his way the second and third times, but also avoid being throw from the platform by his dash’s knock-back.
- Magnitude 5.0 – Still astride his ATV, Titan begins casting a huge donut AoE that hangs off the sides of the arena. There is a small circle of safety under him, as well as a tiny corner of safety far, far from the center of the donut.
- He puts his wheels away.
- Earthen Fury
Phase 3 repeats here, then 4/6, in cycle until defeat.
