With Final Fantasy XIV’s forty-eighth Letter from the Producer LIVE taking place in less than 24 hours, many are looking forward to receiving more details about next month’s Patch 4.5, “A Requiem for Heroes”. In a recent column in Famitsu Magazine, Producer Naoki Yoshida stated that the intended release date for the patch will be on January 8th, a date which should be confirmed during tomorrow’s broadcast.

Ahead of this live letter, new screenshots and information were released earlier today on the patch’s special site.

The Four Lords

The first thing we see included with the new batch of information is our very first look at Seiryu. Taking place in The Wreath of Snakes, players will take on Seiryu and his minions in the conclusion of The Four Lords side story arc.  What unique challenges will await the Warriors of Light in this battle against the Azure Serpent of legend?

Custom Deliveries

Players with a crafting profession may be familiar with Idyllshire’s strange pig-headed fellow by the name of Adkiragh. The masked businessman has run into some troubles and promises special rewards to those who aid his cause with Custom Deliveries. Could this be the opportunity to finally see what lies beneath that mask?

New Mounts, Minions, Hairstyles and Emotes

Of course, it wouldn’t be a patch without a plethora of new collectibles being added, including the new mounts, minions, hairstyles and emotes.
