After the 2016 Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Las Vegas, the merchandise line is now a frequently talked about event in the community.
I personally stood in the line for eight hours the first day of Fan Fest, being one of the lucky people able to pick up the first Encyclopaedia Eorzea before they sold out at the event. Others however, weren’t so lucky.
During the Fan Festival in Frankfurt however, Square Enix came up with a different idea- to do a merchandise pre-order where attendees would be able to order their items ahead of the event, and then simply pick them up at the venue. The result was, for myself, maybe a thirty minute line? It was amazing.
Earlier this week, Matt “Bayohne” Hilton of the NA Community Team took to the forums to confirm that yes, the NA Fan Fest coming up in November will have a merchandise pre-order!
Thanks for the comments and feedback you’ve been providing regarding the Fan Festival merchandise experience from previous events! I also want to assure you that we’re very aware of your comments and working hard to improve the experience for everyone attending the Fan Festival in Las Vegas. While I can’t share too many details right now, I can confirm that we’ll have a pre-order program that will allow attendees to purchase merchandise ahead of time.
We’ll be sure to share the full details as we get closer to the event, so please hang tight a bit longer!
We’re excited to see what new items may be available, and we’ll definitely be picking up the recently announced Encyclopaedia Eorzea II!
