This evening at Sony’s E3 Press Conference, we got our first look at the Resident Evil 2 remake that was announced back in August of 2015.
Not only did we get a trailer at Sony’s event, but a second trailer has also been posted online, showing even more footage!
This remake has been rebuilt from the ground up using Capcom’s RE Engine, which was first used for Resident Evil 7. The biggest change for the game, aside from the updated graphics, will be the perspective change. Instead of going with the original point of view and tank controls that were used in the original, the Resident Evil 2 remake will feature and over the shoulder camera for a more modern take on the game. As was the case in the original, both Leon and Claire will have their own separate campaigns.
Those attending E3 this week will have a chance to play the game, and we’ll do our best to try and get hands-on with it so we can share our thoughts.
Resident Evil 2 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will be available on January 25th and is available to pre-order now.
