Lyrics For Exponential Entropy and Rise Revealed!

The Far Edge of Fate Soundtrack is here and with it, we finally have the official lyrics for both Exponential Entropy and Rise from the Alexander raids.

Let’s take a look!

Exponential Entropy

Forward and back and then go forward and back
And then go forward and back, then put one foot forward
x2

Transcendental minds unleashed
Exponential entropy

Forward and back and then go forward and back
And then go forward and back, then put one foot forward
x8

Time out of time (illumination)
Time out of time (illumination)
Time out of time (triangulation)
Time out of time (no destination)

Time out of time (illumination)
Time out of time (illumination)
Time out of time (predestination)
Time out of time (no destination)

Falling back right into the system of
Falling back on all that’s erased
When fighting back right out of this system
Means falling back right into this space

Yes, falling back right in with the system
Who’ll see you falling back to the end
When falling back is better than simply
Falling back into pieces again

Rise

Sonic boom, rings loud from the engines
Ironclad murder gonna ‘liminate the distance
Ain’t no ‘landers gonna take us (no)
Cold dustin’ the flustered is super-cali ????’ tageous

Slow down. (Stop!) Takin’ no hits
‘Cceleratin’ past us. blast us. fit to transmit (son)
Son to the Father to the Maker’s own way
There’s a method to the metal on the metal highway (yo)

Keepin’ up the pace. (What?) Keepin’ with the quickness
Kep the lightning bottled, throttled, throttle to the finish
x2

Movin’, soothing’, got nothing’ to prove and
Pushing’ all your buttons with a button-pushing blue hand
Blue blazes, blue faces,
Blue blood, blue truth gonna see you black and blue (right)

Keepin’ up the pace. (What?) Keepin’ with the quickness
Kep the lightning bottled, throttled, throttle to the finish
x2

Thirty thousand goblins gonna solve the goblins’ problems, ’cause the
Problems of the goblins goin’ rotten till they solve ’em, yeah the
Thirty thousand goblins gonna solve the goblins’ problems, with a
‘Sploding’ smashing’ bashin’ whackin’ crackin’ smackin’ kind of chaos

A to the L to the E X ander
Gobbies gonna rise up, boom like thunder

Rise up and raise the iron roof off
Now, Rise up and riot ’till the bomb drops
Now, Rise up, the time is right to sound off, so
Rise with me, rise with me, rise with me (RISE UP!)
Rise with me, rise with me, rise with me (RISE UP!)
Rise with me, rise with me, rise with me RISE WITH ME

Step back, the Blue’s about to pull you under!

Remind me again who’s this Blue the song Rise referencing?

    • Powered

I think it’s referencing time itself (embodied in this case by Alexander). Time’s often metaphorically represented by the ocean, which often was clasically referred to as “blue” or “the blue one.” Also, “blue” is the theme of Heavensward (with “red” similarly being the theme of Stormblood) so it’s a callback to the expansion itself.

Or maybe they mean Blue from Blue’s Clues, to go along with the time-traveling robot gobbie kitten.

      • Remix Manybeats

It’s the Illuminati, you can see their blue mitten symbol near their areas in the Dravanian Hinterlands.

        From Lorecast 7:
Gamer Escape: What is the origin of the Illuminati’s nickname, the Blue Hand?
Koji Fox: So, we know a bit about the Illuminati story, where they got the manifesto that leads them to believe what they believe. It’s all based on the writings of an Au Ra. And that Au Ra had … blue hair. The goblins are taking with their hands, the thinkings of that person and made them their own by touching the mind of that Au Ra. Their hands have become blue.

      • Jeremy Wheeler

        I’m sold. It’s gotta be Blue’s Clues.

    • Hezkezl

As ‘Remix’ said, the Blue in this is for the Illuminati. In JP and other languages they’re named something different.

“Goblin of the Indigo Hand” in German, something similar in French, and the ‘blue hand’ in JP. English is the only one to get the name Illuminati, likely because we’re the only ones with a story about some shadowy conspiracy group.

I know those lyrics are official but damn, they’re skipping a lot of syllables.
