You Got FFXIV In My PSO2

Today at a Phantasy Star Online 2 event in Tokyo, it was announced that there would be a collaboration event with Final Fantasy XIV.

Japanese outlets are reporting that this summer, PSO2 players will be able to journey to Urth’s Fount and face Odin himself! A video from the event has surfaced online, showing the fight as it will appear in PSO2.

In addition to Odin, Miqo’te outfits will be available in PSO2 with this event.

There’s no word yet on if PSO2 items might be making their way into FFXIV but either way it’s going to make Western players weep once again, fondly remembering a time years ago when it looked like PSO2 might actually release here.

  1. I’ve seen a lot of ” What will we get? ” from the FFxiv crowed, as if we are owed something. I mean, yeah would be nice if we got some PSO2 items, but really? Must we be that selfish?

Pretty odd that this collab event is for a game that’s not world wide, that’s what gets me kinda miffed.

    1. That’s an interesting point of view. While I am in the “what will we get” party, it’s not that I am there because it’s something I think we deserve, but more so, that I’m exciting as I’m a fan of PSO.

PSO was my first online RPG, and is why I play today, so I hope we’ll get something so that I can have that connection to a game I loved, as well as a game that I can’t get access too. :S

I hope we’ll see PSO2 come to the US, but until then, this might be the closest we’ll get for some time. :)

Wasn’t the DQX for everyone regardless of region?

While yes it would be nice to have the same or another collab it would make little to no sense for EN to have this PSO2 event. If anything it’ll just pour more salt onto the wound.
