Final Fantasy 7 Remake Info Drops at PSX

This weekend’s PlayStation Experience had quite the surprise for fans eagerly awaiting more information about the Final Fantasy VII Remake announced back at E3.

Shortly after the keynote began, a brand new video was shown of the FF7 remake which gave us our first glimpse of gameplay!

Additionally, the press release stated that:

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.

There was no further elaboration on this point. Is the long awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake episodic? Will there be multiple titles? Are they expanding on the FF7 universe with more spin-off type games like Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core did years ago? We’ll remain cautiously optimistic as we wait to hear more details regarding what Square Enix’s definition of “multi-part series” is.

Additionally, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII is now up for grabs on PlayStation 4. The game is currently on sale with a 30% discount until December 13th when it will go to its full price of $15.99. All of those who purchase the title will receive a special Final Fantasy VII Remake theme.
