Well, after the strange “CantKillProgress” campaign on Twitch and some accidental leaks from news sites, Square Enix has finally officially unveiled what everyone already figured out was coming: the next game in the Deus Ex series.
Entitled Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the game will put players back in the shoes of Adam Jensen, protagonist of previous entry Human Revolution. The official trailer was released this morning.
The trailer shows no gameplay, and gives just a few hints at the story. It looks like Mankind Divided will continue the Augmented vs. Non-Augmented Humans story of the previous entry. Judging from Jensen’s dialogue in the trailer, it appears the decisions he made in the previous game have had a disastrous influence on the world, and he is setting out to fix it. There are also some minor hints in the trailer that this game will connect Jenson’s story to the original Deus Ex, of which this game and Human Revolution are prequels to.
No release date has been announced, although the game is planned for release on PS4, XBox One, and PC. Check out the trailer below!
