Way of the Samurai 4 Coming to PC via Steam

Update: We have confirmed with Ghostlight Games that Way of the Samurai 4 will be available on PC in both North America and Europe.

Way of the Samurai 4, previously exclusive to PS3 and original released back in 2012 in the West, will be getting a PC release from Ghostlight Games. This release will mark the first time any game in this series has been released on PC.

Ghostlight may not be very familiar to US gamers, but over in Europe, they are well known for publishing games such as The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Devil Survivor Overclocked.

Way of the Samurai 4 itself takes place in the 19th century as Japan is stepping away from its original isolationist policies. The story is told through the eyes of a master-less samurai, and focuses on three factions: the pro-government shogunate, those who wish for Japan to remain isolationist, and foreign powers influenced by the British Navy. The series is known for having an open world style with a focus on decisions affecting the game’s ending.

No release date has currently been announced. There has also been no announcement whether the PC port will be European exclusive or if it will be released in North America as well. GamerEscape is in the process of contacting Ghostlight for this information, and we will update this article if and when we find out.

  1. Yes! I might be on of the few people in my state that are excited but I am stoked.
