Aetheryte Radio 68: Parleyers Of The Hunt

On this episode of Aetheryte Radio, we talk about our impressions of Patch 2.3 which includes the lovely amount of drama circling the new Hunt content!

At the time of the recording, we had not yet received wind of the update which took place earlier this morning so please keep that in mind when listening to the show! Enjoy!

  1. “People doing hunts… don’t be a dick!” Lol, couldn’t be more true

  2. Totally with you on the Goonies reference lol! Awesome dungeon.

  3. I didn’t like Frontlines too much… but you mentioned some good points to the new-old(as in it’s been done before in another game) but I just wish it was more sandboxy and open world accessable and not restricted to “Duty-Finder”!

Meet me in the middle with this, I played my butt off when Winds of the Goddess was released for FFXI, this doesn’t hold a candle to it.
It felt like fun but when I was playing with “kindergarteners fun”.

  4. I’m sorry, but when it comes to hunts you sound like children “why cant we all win all the time”. Thats such a terrible way to do things, especially knowing your from XI where nothing is handed to you and things like NMs are more exclusive and competition based than here.

God forbid this game have SOME minor competeing with people and we dont just make it yet another fricken FATE….you have no idea how tired of everything being related to FATEs everyone i know is saying. That and for once we have open world stuff, they build this great looking world that you speed level through and almost never go back into, you sit in DF and ignore the world and just as bad you can ignore your servers community and never have an issue.

Brin was right, people have intrest in open world big time. This is far from perfect but its a start and finally something that not everyone and their grandmother is handed to.
