Sometimes, an incredibly popular anime will garner an incredibly popular game and the title that sings that tune this season appears to be Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind. At first glance, it isn’t really a high budget game – combat is mainly a game of quick time events and the graphics are only so-so but as it sits now nearly quarter million copies have been sold with over 93,000 sold in the first week. Suffice it to say that demand has exceeded supply.
And now, a source at Spike Chunsoft has revealed to Siliconera that it wants to release Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind in North America. Considering that Attack on Titan is probably one of the most successful titles to be popular in both Japan and North America, this is excellent news!
Spike Chunsoft is purported to be searching for a publishing partner to bring the game stateside. Rumors has it that it may be localizing company XSEED, but only time will tell.
If you’re curious to what the game is like, I recommend watching the Nintendo Direct video. I’ll admit – it does look like fun!
