If you’re a fan of the METAL GEAR franchise and a PC gamer, you’d know that for the most part those games are console titles, so to get access to the juicy content you usually gotta fire up the good old Playstation or Xbox. This was especially true if you wanted to get your hands on METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE, released earlier this year, as it was released on Xbox 360 and PS3 with no word on a PC version. However, thats all about to change. If you haven’t bought the game yet or you were thinking, “Hey! This game would look great on PC!” then do we have news for you!
That’s right! Today, Konami Digital Entertainment has announced the PC version of METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE, the latest installment in the METAL GEAR series of games. It’s a bit different as this METAL GEAR game is an slice-and-dice all action title featured Raiden – as a cyborg child soldier ninja…thing. On a quest for revenge, he uses his cybernetic abilities and ninja-soldier skills to fight private militaries, rogue organizations, and corrupt politicians with a style of gameplay vaguely reminiscent of Devil May Cry.
The PC version will come with all sorts of PC-specific bells and whistles – specifically on the graphical side. PC gamers will have many more graphic adjustments such as resolution, anti-aliasing, and the amount of slice and dicing ninja action that will show up on your screen. You can check out a bunch of screenshots from the PC version below!
It’s available for pre-purchase starting December 19th, 2013 and buyers will receive 33% off via Steam’s Holiday sale if they buy before December 21st, after which gamers can get 20% off until the game’s release on January 9th, 2014.
