Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Collector’s Edition Revealed, PS Vita Release Date Confirmed, and some new Screenshots

If you’re a Final Fantasy fan and a PS Vita owner, we’ve got some great news for you! Today, Square Enix has finally announced a release date for the much-anticipated remaster of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Scheduled for the same day as the PS3 release on March 18th, 2014, the Vita version of the game will be available in a 2-in-1 retail pack. The packaging method is a little weird though; instead of getting a Vita cartridge for both games, you get the cartridge for Final Fantasy X HD, with X-2 HD as a download from the Playstation store. You can also buy both games from the digital store, but note that if you want to play on both your Vita and PS3, you’ll need to buy the Remaster twice as the games are not cross compatible. Or just use remote play.

Also detailed today is the Collector’s Edition of the game for the PS3. It is available exclusively from Square Enix’s online retail store and is only available in limited quantities. Enthusiasts gunning to get one of these versions will be delighted to know that the Collector’s Edition contains a 40 page art book and five lithographs of iconic Final Fantasy X artwork as well as a copy of the Final Fantasy X HD Remaster Soundtrack featuring 6 hours of music on a Blu-ray disk.

Last but not least, we also get another peak at Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD edition released from Square Enix through some new screenshots, which you can enjoy in the gallery we have assembled below!
