VGX 2013: Reveals, Trailers, and Summary

For the Gamer Escapees that didn’t know, Spike TVs Video Game Awards – otherwise VGx – was held over this past weekend on Saturday December 7th, 2013. It was quite the show, with several trailers and over a dozen awards given, some of which were completely surprise announcements, such as the Game of Thrones game by TellTale and No Man’s Sky. If you missed it, have no fear! You can find much of the juicy bits right here on Gamer Escape.


Who are we kidding? You and pretty much every gamer who was watching the VGx was watching it for the new trailers, and, of course, the game reveals! And there were several noticeable ones too. From announcement trailers to new content trailers to new gameplay footage – a lot of video was shown during VGx.

What kind of video game event would it be without trailers? There are tons of new and old trailers to share which can be viewed below. Be ready to drool as we share the VGx trailers for many soon-to-be-released games such as Thief, Destiny, The Division and many more!

  • Best/action/adventure Game: Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Best Sports Game: NBA 2k14
  • Game of the Year: Grand Theft Auto V
  • Best Independent Game: Gone Home
