It’s a race for recognition among indie game developers and the gate to publication is often hard to break through. The chief issue for many of the smaller game developers is marketing and distribution – issues that publication on Steam can often solve. Steam Greenlight is a service where a game dev can upload their game and allow the public to decide whether the game will ultimately show up on Steam.
This time around, Steam has added 100 titles to the Greenlight site for us normal folk to peruse over and vote to have put on Steam, and the list is quite impressive. I’m particularly happy to see War of the Human Tanks and Probably Archery on there. If you’re interested you can find the full list of Greenlit games on Steam’s community forum here.
