A couple of weeks ago we reported that a group of players had beaten Turn 5 of the Binding Coil of Bahamut due to a bug that made the runs boss, Twintania, immobile. There has been some talk going around this past week regarding JP groups that have now also defeated Turn 5, possibly using this exploit.

Square Enix has shut down Turn 5 while they look into fixing the fight.

Currently, the Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5 is experiencing a confirmed issue wherein the monster becomes immobilized under certain circumstances. For this reason, until this issue has been addressed, the Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5 will be temporarily unavailable.

As a note, the Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5 is the only instance that will be closed. Players will be free to continue challenging the Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turns 1 through 4.

We thank all the players who reported this issue and deeply appreciate the many helpful details they provided regarding this matter. Because of these reports, we were able to investigate and recreate this issue and, as a result, now have the prospects for a fix.

We are currently hard at work on confirming and implementing the solution for this issue, and we anticipate that the Binding Coil of Bahamut – Turn 5 will reopen early next week (around Oct. 15).

We apologize for any inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding.
