Square Enix has announced that the beta for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn now has a whopping one million people registered.

That’s one million people around the world that have signed up to participate in the re-launch of the game, which saw several difficulties around its original release in 2010.  In a span of two years, Square Enix has taken the game and remade it from the ground up. FFXIV 2.0 will include aspects from other Final Fantasy titles as well with the inclusion of the Crystal Tower from Final Fantasy III, Magitek from Final Fantasy VI and the promise of Final Fantasy VII’s Gold Saucer in a future content update. And that’s not including the Airships, Chocobos, Biggs and Wedge, and many other small references to previous titles like “Wild Rose!” Final Fantasy XIV is shaping up to be one of the best Final Fantasy experiences that will take you down a trip on nostalgia road!

Now in phase 3 of beta testing, those that have had the chance to step into the new Eorzea have shown much praise for the massive amount of changes that have been made.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch on August 27th for PC and PlayStation 3.
