The beta test for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm reborn is in full swing! Currently phase 2 is underway which allows players to test the brand new gamepad UI which was designed specifically for those that wish to play the game with a controller.

You have to log on to the beta forums and under the Important Information thread there’ll be a place to download the game client. You won’t be able to play until the posted times. This happened???
It kind of sucks.. cause a majority of people who have gotten one of these keys are now selling them for Real Money. : I really wanted to play in the Beta as I did play during the initial beta.
I’ve so far seen people selling keys for anywhere between $30-$80 USD.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the giveaway, there’s not really anything we can do to prevent this from happening.
It just really stinks. D:
