Tomb Raider Launches A Scavenger Hunt!

Tomb Raider Scavenger Hunt

What do pre-order bonuses, DLC, iPhone/Android apps and a trip to Fiji have in common?  They are all part of the just launched Tomb Raider Scavanger Hunt.  This promotion is a bit complex, or at least has a few steps.  First, you need to pre-order the game.  Doing that will net you a code you use to register for the scavenger hunt at the new scavenger hunt site.  If you have already pre-ordered the game, don’t worry, you can email a photo of your pre-order to receive a code according to the full rules.  From there you will need to download a mobile app (iOS, Android or Windows Phone), on which you will receive weekly trivia and photo challenges.

Participants will have the chance to unlock up to five in-game DLC items:

  • Animal Instinct
    The Animal instinct skill lights up XP-laden animals in Survival Instinct mode, to help Lara upgrade more quickly.
  • Climbing Skills
    The Agility skill lets Lara ascend mountain faces more quickly and ensures she lands safely from higher falls.
  • Headshot Reticle
    The headshot reticle lets Lara utilize her weapons more accurately. When used with the pistol silencer, it makes for a deadly combination.
  • Pistol Burst
    The three-shot burst pistol upgrade lets Lara unleash a hail of firepower on her foes.
  • Pistol Silencer
    The pistol silencer lets Lara use stealthy tactics to overcome even the trickiest of situations.

But even better, participants can win the following prizes – you know, like for use in real life:

  • Customized PS3 Or XBOX Consoles Tomb Raider themed Xbox360 or PS3 game console.
  • Lara Croft Statue: Life size statue of the Tomb Raider heroine with her weaponry and other survival gear.
  • Tomb Raider ATV: A Tomb Raider themed Yamaha Grizzly 700 4X4 Stealth Edition with a 686cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine, with special cast aluminum wheels.
  • Fiji Adventure: An all expense paid trip for two to Fiji.
