FINAL FANTASY XIV fans the world round, the thirty-eighth Letter from the Producer has arrived for your viewing pleasure!

Pore over the complete letter.

Hello again to all you FFXIVers out there, and to all of you eagerly awaiting FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Yoshi-P here, bringing you the thirty-eighth Letter from the Producer.

More than two years have come and gone since service for FFXIV commenced on September 30, 2010. With the final character save maintenance on November 1, 2012, a chapter in the realm of Eorzea has come to a close.

With all the changes that have come to pass, I realize that it must have been difficult for you, the players. It’s been a very turbulent two years for me as well, and the game has come to hold a very special place in my heart. Work to transfer data over to A Realm Reborn will soon commence. Rest assured that your character will be carried over to a new beginning, bearing all your cherished memories of friendships and adventure.

Thanks to your encouragement and support, the game has come a very long way. There are no words to express how grateful we are for your help in the game’s rebirth.

There are only ten days left until the servers go offline, and the last wave of changes hit Eorzea.

Just what is in store for the realm, and what will become of Dalamud? You’ll have to stick around until the end to find out!

The alpha test is also underway, and we’re glad to say there have been no major problems as we begin taking in lots of player feedback.

We’ll continue to add more testers as we go along, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox! (There will be an announcement on twitter when we send out invites.)

Time is running out, so until November 11, keep fighting the good fight!
