For those of you who have returned to FINAL FANTASY XIV through the Welcome Back Campaign, we’d like to introduce some of the great additions to the configuration menu, as well as some must-have settings for mouse and keyboard users. New Configuration Options
Action Subtargets
The Action Subtargets option has been added to the configuration menu, under Target Settings. Toggling off disables the selection of alternate targets for actions executed directly from the action bar; actions will instead be performed on the current target.
* Setting can also be toggled via a text command.

/subtarget(/st) [subcommand]

>> Subcommands:
on – Enable Action Subtargets
off – Disable Action Subtargets
Toggle between on and off when no subcommand is specified.
* Enabled by default.

Action Reselect Cancel
The Action Reselect Cancel option has been added to the configuration menu, under System.
Enable canceling of actions by selecting them again from the action bar while they are being cast or channeled.
* Can also be performed via the text command /actioncancel, (/acan).

/actioncancel [subcommand]

>>Subcommands
on Enable canceling via the action bar.
off Disable canceling via the action bar.
Toggle between on and off when no subcommand is specified.
* Default is off.

The setting will be defaulted to off for all characters. The setting must be enabled if you wish to be able to cancel actions via the action bar as before.

Keyboard Layouts
Players can now choose from two keyboard layouts: Type A, the default FFXIV layout, or Type B, the standard MMORPG layout.
Check out this forum post for more information.

Key Mapping
More key mapping options are now available under Keyboard in the configuration menu.

/facetarget
The Face Target command, found under Keyboard in the configuration menu, has been changed.
The action is no longer accompanied by a motion; characters will now instantly face the target, and those in motion will come to an immediate halt.
* Can also be performed via the text command /facetarget, (/ft)

Recommended Mouse and Keyboard Settings
The following settings are recommended for players who prefer a mouse and keyboard setup.

Action Subtarget: off
Action Reselect Cancel: off

Choosing these settings is sure to improve your battle experience!
