Good ol’ Rob Pardo over at Blizzard has great news for us about the upcoming Diablo III. See, in order to enhance the game with a “wealth of improvements”, the game will lack true offline play. While “offline” single player will exist, it will still require you to connect to Battle.net before you can access it, assuring that you need an internet connection wherever you Diablo. Characters will be stored server-side, of course, to prevent character sharing and/or item hacking. Sounds like a brilliant plan, I mean, if anyone decides to play the game after this announcement.
Oh right, and Blizzard-supported “Real Money” transactions! Get hype!
