Between doing live streams, signing autographs, participating in and commentating on Ifrit battles, Naoki Yoshida, the Director/Producer of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn found some time to talk to us at last week’s E3.
We recently asked the community (that’s you guys!) what they wanted to get some information on. Unfortunately, the downside of that is the community also asked Square Enix and as a result of this, some of our questions were also answered in the live letter on day 3 (which was directly after our interview time). On the plus side, we do have some interesting bits of info that you won’t find anywhere else!

Last week, we met up with The Director and Producer of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, Naoki Yoshida and the Community Team in San Francisco to check out the latest on FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Between a presentation of new information and our hands-on demonstration we managed to get a few questions in with the man himself.

A month ago, Square Enix rocked the Gigas Socks off players during VanaFest 2012 by introducing “Seekers of Adoulin” the fifth expansion for Final Fantasy XI which is celebrating ten years of service. New jobs, new continent, new UI… even with all the information released at the event, people still wanted to know more! We had a chance to get some of our questions answered straight from the source.

Yesterday we had a bit of information out of Naoki Yoshida’s stage presentation at Japan Expo including some new concept art, and a real look at some of the new race specific equipment coming in version 2.0. Today we get an English transcript of an interview conducted by JeuxOnLine and several other European FFXIV sites.
In the interview, Yoshida mentions that with 2.0, the main method for players to level up their classes will be not through monster camping but through quest rewarded experience points. There is also more discussion about Free Companies, voiced cut scenes, loading screens and more!
Head on over to JeuxOnLine to see the full interview and let us know what you think on our forums!
Back in October Gamer Escape had the chance to sit down with Final Fantasy XIV Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida to ask him about the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV 2.0. We only had an hour to get through as many questions as we could and were given a chance to e-mail the rest of them to be answered at a later date.
You know what today is? It’s a later date! Read on for more Q&A goodness.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of sitting down with Naoki Yoshida to ask him about some of the content in the recently released 1.19 patch as well as pick his mind on some of the information that was released this past week with the news of Final Fantasy 2.0.
Also present at the time of the interview were Yasu Kurosawa, Sage Sundi, Robert Peeler and Matt Hilton. Michael-Christopher Koji Fox was on hand to provide the translations.
But enough of all that, I’m sure you want to see what we asked and the kinds of answers we got! Read on for the full interview.
I recently had the chance to work with the Mane6 team to bring together this – what turned out to be – Particularly amazing interview. Mane6 are currently developing the My Little Pony-based fighting game Fighting Is Magic, which has caused quite a stir not only in it’s own fandom, but also with the fighting community as a whole.
Updates on the game can be seen at Mane6. As of posting this interview, Applejack’s VA has been found, and a huge Game Update has been posted on Mane6‘s official site.
