Today on the game’s Facebook (Japan), 4 new screenshots were released showing the game (presumably) running on the PlayStation 3 hardware. In the images you can see a male Miqo’te Paladin participating in an NM F.A.T.E. A special note to make in these images is that the PLD is level 50 and he has been level synced down to lvl 23 for participating in the F.A.T.E. This way he can scale down and receive a reward as opposed to going in and being such a high level that no rewards are granted due to the level difference.
Last night we did the final sound check for the new trailer we’ll be unveiling at this year’s E3. As you can see in this photo, our sound director, Masayoshi Soken, is explaining to Yoshi-P how knee socks inspired him to create this particular orchestral masterpiece.

Last week, Curse announced that it would be shutting down its Final Fantasy XIV site, FFXIVCore.
An odd move considering the upcoming launch of A Realm Reborn, Curse staff posted an announcement saying that “Due to outward pressures and inherent competition with other community sites, we are no longer able to support this great community.”
That isn’t stopping the admins of the site however, as they are making plans to open up a new site to house the community that they have created over the last few years. Currently they can be found over on enjin while they work to build their new site. Additionally you can keep up with them on Twitter and Facebook.
We’ve received a two-tonze truckload of feedback on character creation since the alpha test, and from what I saw in today’s build, much has changed since then. If you thought there were a lot of options before, wait until you see all the new ways to customize your avatar, including…
An extended hair color palette, plus a plethora of playful tattoos.
On May 30, 2013, the seventh installment of the FINAL FANTASY XIV Letter from the Producer Live will be presented on YouTube Live.
